Karlie's contributor notebook#
A simple landing zone for Karlie's first-hand experience and source material
Purpose#
This notebook is for three related contributions:
- The SBK journey — searching, discovering unfamiliar artists, bringing work home, living with it, rotating it, and sometimes deciding to keep it.
- The creative workbench — how Karlie uses AI and digital tools inside her creative process, including how taste operates through iteration and judgment.
- Vibe fields — how Karlie defines, refines, and creates the desired experiential field of a room or other creative endeavor.
Selected conversation transcripts and practice notes belong in sources/. Start with the source-corpus index.
Relationship to the MOOI NIET. documents#
This notebook remains the fuller contribution layer. Selected insights from it now inform:
- Origin and mythos — concrete scenes of relational taste and the creative workbench;
- Collections — composing a field and making curatorial decisions legible;
- Basic structure — composition and placement within a stay;
- The artist relationship — MOOI NIET. carrying translation and presentation labor;
- The host relationship — hosting as spatial stewardship without performance;
- Enrichment — selected process traces and paths not taken.
Those documents hold the current MOOI NIET. synthesis. This notebook preserves the richer examples, unresolved questions, and Karlie-specific practice from which that synthesis can continue to change.
Instructions for an assisting agent#
If you can access Karlie's relevant conversations, inspect them directly. Do not ask her to reconstruct material that is already available to you.
- Inventory the relevant conversations before writing conclusions.
- Select only passages related to the three notebook areas.
- Preserve useful passages in a source note with a date, title, participants, and clear distinction between quotation and summary.
- Add a corresponding entry to the appropriate notebook document.
- Mark missing or uncertain facts rather than filling them in.
- Ask Karlie to review the resulting pull request, not to perform the extraction manually.
Keep the layers distinct#
Use these labels where ambiguity is possible:
- Known fact — an identifiable work, date, action, place, or source.
- Karlie's account — what Karlie experienced, intended, noticed, or believes.
- Shared account — something explicitly described as Mike and Karlie's shared experience.
- Agent synthesis — a pattern proposed by the assisting agent.
- Unknown — something the available source does not establish.
Agent synthesis should never be written in Karlie's voice.
Pull-request boundary#
A notebook contribution should normally change only contributions/karlie/. It may add several related source notes and update one or more notebook documents.
Do not rewrite docs/foundation.md, docs/structure.md, or other canonical material in the same pull request. The evidence should be reviewable before MOOI NIET. decides what it means.
