Contributor notebooks#
Contributor notebooks are landing zones for grounded experience, examples, conversations, and emerging interpretations.
They sit beside the canonical MOOI NIET. documents rather than inside them. A contributor can preserve source material and develop an account in their own language without first understanding or editing the foundation, structure, or collection model.
The flow#
source material
-> contributor's first-hand account
-> contributor-reviewed synthesis
-> later consideration for canonical MOOI NIET. documents
Nothing in a notebook automatically becomes MOOI NIET. doctrine. Promotion into docs/ is a separate editorial decision and should retain attribution to the source.
Principles#
- Preserve first-hand language before generalizing it.
- Separate sourced fact, personal account, and agent synthesis.
- Include only material relevant to the contribution.
- Redact unrelated personal or sensitive information.
- Do not infer another artist's intention.
- Prefer selected, attributed excerpts to an unstructured archive dump.
- Keep notebook contributions in small pull requests.
- Do not edit canonical documents in the same pull request unless explicitly invited.
